Detecting leaks and tracking your water use just got easier with Metropolitan Water District’s new Flow Monitor Rebate. Southern Californians can soon apply for a $100 rebate on a qualifying Flow Monitor and have access to valuable water use insights in real-time. No more surprises—find invisible leaks like running toilets or leaky sprinklers and help Southern California save water every day.
Before you purchase your Flow Monitor, you should:
Use the Estimate my Rebate tool on SoCalWater$mart, our official rebate website. This tool will help you determine your eligibility and to check your rebate amount. Not all Flow Monitor models qualify in all areas within our six-county service region and some local water agencies may offer additional rebate amounts.
Make sure you have reliable Wi-Fi at the installation location and a smart device such as a smartphone or tablet with app-accessibility.
Check the type of water meter you have. Some flow monitoring devices attach to the utility water meter and are only designed for a specific type of meter. Your local water agency may have installed meters that work with some flow monitoring devices, but not others.
This is a pilot program, funding is limited. Your local agency may have additional requirements and some Flow Monitors may require professional installation. Check out product information below for details on the types of Flow Monitors that qualify.
